Hello and welcome to our house. Irrashaimase!

First things first, this is Japan so please take your shoes off before you enter…

Then come on through to our living room. We’re yet to get a sofa but we do have a heated carpet!

Above the window is our very own little shrine…

…and on the table, cards from friends of family to remind us of London (miss you all!)

Then there’s the kitchen…

On the left what looks like a microwave is in fact the smallest oven ever. One day I’m going to cook the smallest roast ever in this thing…

Our toilet of course comes complete with a whole range of buttons that I’ve not yet dared to try. Now although this may look hi-tech I’m told that it’s actually almost obsolete technology in Japan. You should see the new toilets…

Our bath is also electronic – one press of a button and it fills itself with water heated to the perfect temperature. The Japanese really do have baths down to a tee…

Finally there’s our bedroom. Nothing too hi-tech going on in here but we do have a roof balcony…

…and this is the view we wake up to each morning…

…and go to sleep to each night

Before you leave meet the neighbours – Mio’s grandma – here with her cheeky little cousin Kanna-chan

Hope you enjoyed the tour, please come again soon! Mata yoroshku!
